  • Gini Barrett Where does it say that every returning soldier that could use a service animal automatically HAS to choose a pit bull? I am sick of it. There are so many great dogs and so many choices. Why not choose a dog that helps you integrate back into society by being a joyful interaction with all the people around you instead of an instrument of conflict and fear?

  • Carol Miller The dogs are not chosen for "service" but rather for the purpose of making a statement. If you wanted just the service you would pick a Golden or a Lab.

  • Cathy Garcia Type 2? My son has type 1. Alot worse than type 2. Gimme a freaking break. My 80 yr old mother in law and brother in law and sister in law have type 2. They don't have service pits or gators or chihuahuas..

  • Cathy Garcia That's a stupid reason to have a service dog. Unless you are that non compliant that your sick all the time.
