  Gini Barrett Where does it say that every returning soldier that could use a service animal automatically HAS to choose a pit bull? I am sick of it. There are so many great dogs and so many choices. Why not choose a dog that helps you integrate back into society by being a joyful interaction with all the people around you instead of an instrument of conflict and fear?

  Carol Miller The dogs are not chosen for "service" but rather for the purpose of making a statement. If you wanted just the service you would pick a Golden or a Lab.

  Cathy Garcia Type 2? My son has type 1. Alot worse than type 2. Gimme a freaking break. My 80 yr old mother in law and brother in law and sister in law have type 2. They don't have service pits or gators or chihuahuas..

  Laurel Davis I can actually see a role for pitty to help a Type 2 diabetic. Pibbles are skilled at drawing blood (the hard way), so the diabetic can monitor their blood sugar and save money on needles at the same time.
