Viv Smitt Dusty Brown clued me into the importance in distinguishing between pitbull and Pit Bull. I still don't know which one would be the most effective, but there is a difference.

Why is it that pit bulls are only considered a breed when it is convenient for the nutters? Sometimes they're a breed of dog, other times they're a type/classification of dog...I don't get it. German Shepherds are always a breed of dog, shih tzus are always a breed...what makes pit bulls so special?
