Amanda Jacobsen Smith--" Amanda Jacobsen Smith March 12, 2014 rembling and crying. I left her with my friend and went to get my knife and pepper spray out of my truck. My friend offered to go and get her concealed gun out of her purse and that honestly made me feel so relieved. I watched Hannah cling to my friend crying while I was at my truck. That broke my heart. I went and picked her up and told her that we had stuff to protect us. As she got angry with me telling me to take her home now I looked at at her and I said no you have more rights than that dog. I handed her to my friend and walked up to the owner of the dog. I had to stay pretty far from the owner because the dog was on a pretty long lead. This is the conversation "

Me: Hi, I just wanted to ask if you could please put your dog up it is scaring my daughter.
Dog Owner: *smartass tone* Why is that?
Me: she was attacked by a dog six months ago.
DO: which one
Me: the little one in the pink crying and clinging on to my friend over by the merry go ground.
DO: Why is she scared?
By this time I was getting pissed
Me: any large dog scares her especially ones that look like this one.
DO: what kind of dog bit her?
Me: a pit bull
DO: well, my dog isn't a pit bull
Me: That doesn't matter to me, what matters is your dog is scaring my daughter and it says no pets allowed on the sign.
DO: whatever, I will put him up
Me: thank you so much, I appreciate it.
She stomps around like a child putting the dog in the vehicle. Her little buddy goes up to her and speaks loudly "that's bullshit your dog is obviously not a pit bull" . They would glance over and give us dirty looks even as I held my crying, shaking daughter. What the hell is wrong with these people??!! Not ten minutes later another person walks out of a neighborhood headed towards the park with another pitbull!!! This is a perfect example of irresponsible pet owners and I want to do something about it! Dogs, especially dangerous breeds should be treated as child molesters and not be allowed within a certain distance of areas frequented my children if they won't ban them entirely. What can I do??
