Thomas McCartney There is such a lack of competent journalism involved here that it is difficult for one to come to a conclusion on the matter. One thing i have no patience for is the knee jerk reaction that assumes automatically that the dog was abused and innocent when the likelihood is when dealing with a pit bull type dog that it most likely attacked and was defended against.

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm sounds like the owner is most likely more credible on this then the SPCA's mutant loving version................just say'n.
Bryn suffered brain damage, broken teeth and fractures to her front legs after the April 2014 assault.

  • Sarah May I'd say it's a classic example of what pibbles do: they pass temperament tests with flying colors, then they go DNA crazy on their owners. Another good reason not to own pits. If you protect yourself against an attack, people/the system might not believe you...like this guy.

  • Elizabeth BennetI don't know if I would side with the owner in this case. If he was truly attacked, he would have had some injuries, and there is no mention of him being injured at all. Also, if you look at the other pictures of the dog, it looks more like a great dan...See More

  • Mia Johnson I don't think most people have much chance to respond to a pit bull attack. But whatever happened here, the owner was definitely seeking to kill. My question is, WHY with all the dogs the SPCA can't unload would they try to raise any money to save her? Neurological damage in particular doesn't sound promising.

  • Valerie Webber Typical violent Pit Bull owner, who here has not been on the receiving end of their violence, albeit verbal? And there is no Mastiff in that little Pit Bull, another delusion purveyed by the owner.

  • Elizabeth Bennet It doesn't sound rational to spend all that money on saving one dog, but it may be that a high-profile case like this one encourages people to donate to the SPCA. Also, I imagine the people at the shelter feel some responsibility for adopting out the dog to somone that would abuse it.

  • Thomas McCartney There is no mastiff in it but it is clearly a pit bull mix and a pit bull type dog and not worth a penny of medical aid.

  • Thomas McCartney The reason he is not allowed to contact his co accused is so as to not contaminate the legal process with what might be construed as a legal bias that compromises the linear process of evidentiary submission in the course of the trial to be.
